Things That Work...

Counting your calories, and keeping track of everything you eat.


I used to think it was too much work, and if I just watched what I ate I would be fine.  But something wasn't working for me.  So for the past few weeks I've been keeping track of everything, and I think it's helped tremendously.  I don't think most people realize how much they consume on a daily basis, or maybe it's that they just don't care.  I know there are times when I don't care, and my body pays for it.  Since I've been conscious of myself, I've also watched other people, and boy oh boy is there an epidemic sweeping the nation.  I know it's everywhere but the place I see it the most, because I'm always in them, is churches.  I see people eat huge meals and then couple it with a plate full of desserts, and not seem to think twice about it.  Something needs to change, but if they won't I will.  I must be responsible for this body God's given me, even if my genetic code makes it harder.  =)  I love you mom.
