Today Jordan drove me to Wichita, because he knows I'm obsessed with healthy food now and there's not much around these parts. It was nice to spend time with him in the car, and we pulled out some old cds for our mini road trip. (You'd think we'd be tired of the car, but it's our second home). He makes me so happy!
Our first stop was a recommendation from my brother, from a fried who recommended it to him. Got that?
This will be a must to visit every time we head to Wichita now. Their selection of lose leaf teas and coffee was out of this world. Plus there were so many different spices it was kind of overwhelming. I picked up two different kinds of curry powder, some bay leaves, and rosemary just to start. We plan on visiting again very soon. Thanks Wess!
I can't remember if I've mentioned the next place. We discovered it back in March while we were at a church presenting our ministry. The pastor's wife gave me some money to by myself a little something, and took all of the missionary wives to the mall, and I spent my money on groceries...hahah I'm funny. But I definitely love this place. And even though part of me misses Trader Joe's, I love supporting local businesses.
I love their motto! And getting healthy is way fun. I love discovering new things, and new places. I feel like a whole new world has been opened up to me in the past 6 months. And people think being healthy means only eating salads! (Not that there's anything wrong with salads...I love them. But there is way more out there!)
I came home and cooked up a storm all afternoon and made the most delicious dinner. But all of that later. I need my beauty sleep, because 5:45 will be here before I know it, and it will be day 3 of 1/2 marathon training! Night everyone.
