Yesterday Jordan and I headed over to Wichita, because we live in a small town that never seems to have what we need. We were on the hunt for some kind of hydration system for my runs. I don't know how some people run in this heat without water, but I discovered on my last run, that 5 is enough to need to have something with me. So after visiting several places, we ended up at First Gear in Oldtown, and I came home with this, but in hibiscus pink!
I tried it out on my run this morning, and there were a few things I discovered. 1. I seemed to be more thirsty today, and I think it's because my body magically knew I had water and Gatorade with me, so I drank it freely throughout my run. I only took two of the bottles with me today, but I'm glad I got the four bottle belt, because I think I'll use them as I increase my miles. And 2. I felt like I had a lot more energy throughout my run today. I didn't really run much faster overall, but my times were more even and I finished stronger. I also took walking breaks to drink my water, so it didn't even effect me.
Back to yesterday...
While we were in Wichita we went to see this with some friends:
You have to see it! It was amazing. Jordan and I talked about it the whole way home. We already want to see it again.
And for dinner we ate at a place called Doc Green's where I had the Dr. Grilled Veggie. Which was:
Field greens, grilled zucchini & yellow squash, grilled portabella mushrooms, roasted red peppers, red onion, and avocados. It was pretty good. I guess as good as I'm gonna get around here. But the company was awesome, and that's all that really matters. Well I have to start sorting through my house. We're having a garage sale this weekend, since we're moving next weekend. More to come about all of that...

I had so much fun with you yesterday in Wichita! You are the best! I'm so glad that the hydration system was beneficial to your run, you look super cute wearing it.
