She's Going the Distance

1/2 Marathon Training is going great.  I'm starting to get into some uncharted territory and it's coming with some mixed emotions.  This morning I was up for four miles.  I asked Jordan to go with me, just because it would make me feel better to have him there, and he's the best husband ever so of course he supported me.  Here I am pre-run:
Excited and nervous and ready to hit the trail.  I had to tell myself how strong I was and that this was going to be a piece of cake!  It was a beautiful morning out, minus the stinking humidity and I was ready to do this!

I just concentrated on breathing, and keeping a steady pace...trying to get my mind off of thinking how long I thought 4 miles was.  The loop at Rice Park is 1.25 miles, so I knew I just had to do a little over 3 laps.  Every time I came back around to where Jordan was I got a surge of energy to help me keep going.  I told him that day of the race, he's gonna have to be cheering on the side with posters for me, all along the way.  =)
=)  And here I am post-run:
It felt good to go that distance.  I know I'm still just in the beginning, but I think maybe I actually consider myself a runner now.  I was pretty sweaty at this point and ready to get away from all of the wretched mosquitoes.  They weren't bad until I stopped running.  I counted 15 bites when I got home.  UGH!  And here's the breakdown:
The Splits were:
Mile 1:10:07
Mile 2:10:45
Mile 3:10:47
Mile 4:9:40
